"Hike for Ethan" carries special significance as we endeavor to cultivate a sense of togetherness, compassion, and understanding while strolling through the beauty of nature. In every step, we honor Ethan's legacy, embracing his love for nature and hiking. 1-4 p.m. at The Big Red Shed, 11735 W. Pine St. Instructor Meryl Kastin is a Clinical and Field Herbalist for over 40 years. Learn to positively ID plants as well as when and how best to gather them and how to use them for food and/or medicine. Also identify some of the most poisonous plants in North America. Attend each month's walks to see the various plant stages of the same plants as well as the progression through the seasons of the herbs to use.
