Be a part of the women's retreat at the Scotia House from the evening of May 3 thru late afternoon on May 5. The weekend will include storytelling, authentic movement, expressive arts, dreamwork, and community. Cost is $129-$189 (sliding scale) plus $70 for two nights lodging. $100 for a private room. Music Bridges Borders would like to invite everyone to this annual event at Eichardt's, 212 Cedar St., starting at noon in the alley (in case of rain it will move indoors). There will be delicious food, drinks, games, and salsa dancing lessons. 

Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club holds the 76th annual spring fishing derby on Lake Pend d'Oreille. There are many prizes to be won, and multiple categories and divisions. For more information see the LPOIC Facebook page, or visit LPOIC.org.

Come for the crafts, but enjoy the face painting; hay rides; music; bounce house; pony rides; food; and more! Event will take place at the red barn, 459560 US-95, Cocolalla from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Ponderay Bike Rodeo will take place at McNearney Park, 55 McNearney Road (behind the Animal Shelter) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a BBQ from noon to 2 p.m. Bring your bike or scooter, and helmet (there will be some available for kids who do not have one - while supplies last). There will be a bike safety check with minor repairs offered. Learn about bike safety and practice your skills

It's a block party in downtown Sandpoint! Help support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Join for live music, a raffle, an auction, and activities for the whole family. Local food and drink vendors will show off their best Cinco de Mayo offerings. Event will be held from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on the block of 113 Main St. There is no entry fee, but there will be tickets for food and drinks available to purchase. See the Facebook event here.
