Lake Pend Oreille Repertory Theater brings the classic black comedy Arsenic and Old Lace to the Panida stage, where drama critic Mortimer Brewster's engagement is thrown into chaos after discovering a corpse in his aunts' window seat. To his horror, Mortimer learns that his sweet elderly aunts are not only aware of the body but are responsible for it, setting off a whirlwind of darkly comic complications involving poisoned wine, eccentric brothers, including one convinced he's Teddy Roosevelt, and Mortimer's own doubts about marriage. A witty tale of family, murder, and mayhem, Arsenic and Old Lace delivers sharp humor with a deadly twist. Shows will be held Oct. 24-26 & 31 as well as November 1-2.
